Idaho Fish and Game Restores Close to Three Miles of Potlatch River Steelhead Habitat

This summer, a large wood restoration project to improve steelhead habitat was completed on private land along one mile of the East Fork Potlatch River. With the addition of this project, we have restored close to three miles of stream, and we are starting to see changes in steelhead movement and behavior that suggests these projects are making a difference.

City dedicates new nature preserve in east Boise
The Golda Harris Nature Preserve includes three acres of natural pathways, seating and interpretive signage. It is located on Warm Springs Avenue.
BOISE, Idaho — Boise residents and visitors now have another place to relax, unwind and experience nature.
A dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting was held Wednesday for the newly completed Golda Harris Nature Preserve on Warm Springs Avenue.
The land was donated to the city by the Harris family and includes three acres of natural pathways, seating, and interpretive signage.

Boise improves access to Quinn’s Pond with park addition
“This is an exciting addition to our park system at a time when recreational opportunities are more important than ever.”
BOISE, Idaho — City leaders on Wednesday celebrated new amenities and an expansion to Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park, which houses the popular Quinn’s Pond.
